Yesterday we attended the Teen Matters talk at Homebush Sydney Sports Stadium, and through this I completed six hours of work.
Our role was to organise seating for the 21 schools. All together, we allocated seating to 2,000 people. One group was told to wait outside for the people exiting the buses, and the other group (MSCW) was told to wait inside.
There were three entertainment students placed in each row, and all together there were approximately 6 - 7 rows. We had to use effective communicative skills as we needed to organise proper seating and each of us in the same area needed to work efficiently together.
We were told to fill up the seats at the front before the ones towards the back, and we did this promptly. Another role was guide the guests to the exit, and at the end of the remissions, assist them to their allocated seating. Through this, I also learned how to communicate effectively to fellow students. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, and I believe we all participated in positive ways and proved great competency as a group.
